Ohh what a week!!!

Where should I start....We have all had colds and not felt well for the last 2 weeks. Last Wednesday (2/4) I really started to feel like crap. I had to take Hoobie to his post-op visit for his adenoids and was told he was told he was going to have to have another surgery because of all the drainage still coming out of his ears. He has been in a lot of pain and not feeling good so we wanted to do it as soon as possible - the Dr. could do it the next day. Thursday morning we wake up bright and early to take Parkar to surgery at 7:15. His surgery was going to consist of taking his ear tubes out, washing both ears out with salt water and saline, and then re-inserting new ear tubes. His surgery went very well and the Dr. came out and said his ears were terrible - the left (which is the one that always bothers him) was full of green puss like stuff and the right ear had white milky cottage cheese looking stuff in it. He said he sent all the fluid and the tubes themselves to the lab for cultures. We were supposed to find something out by yesterday but he never called so I will call first thing on Monday to see if they grew any bacteria. Parkar did very well this time -we came home and he took a four hour nap and when he woke up he was a new little man!! So we are hoping that was the third and final surgery he will need and that the cultures turn out okay.


So later that day we decided to go to Denver a day early since Cameron had already taken the day off. I was still feeling miserable so I decided to get my throat swabbed and found out that I had strep throat. We got packed, loaded, and my prescription and got on the road at 5:40. It was an awful car ride as I was extremely uncomfortable and still running fevers but we made it anyway. We drove to Cheyenne and stayed with Cameron's sister Deidi and her family (thanks again) who let us stay even with being contagious. We hung out, rested, and visited on Friday before traveling to Denver. We took the boys to Playhouse Disney Live on Friday night - which was very fun and both of the boys loved it!!! They had Little Einsteins, My Friends Tiger and Pooh, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Teylor's favorite Handy Manny. We had a lot of fun singing and dancing together.







We had a great time and was well worth it!!

After the show we went to Cameron's brother Ryan's house were we stayed until Monday. Cameron's cousin and his wife came down and we all spent Saturday together. Ryan, Cameron, Seth (Ryan's son), and Teylor all went to to Monster Jam on Sunday. They all had a great time and Teylor thought the "BIG trucks were so cool and really loud!"

Sunday evening after the show Cameron, Ryan, and one of his friends framed up and did electrical work in one the rooms downstairs. They worked really hard and got it done. Monday morning they did a few finishing touches and we were on the road by 11. We stopped in Ft. Collins to have lunch with Cameron's aunt Mickie and cousins. We had a great time. Our trip was fast and even though I didn't feel the best we had a great time. Sorry the blog is extremely long!!
