Catching up - AGAIN............

October= very busy!! The weekend before Halloween we carved pumpkins. The boys had a great time. Teylor wanted to make Batman this year - he always draws the picture first and then tries to cut it out. He couldn't figure out how to cut his drawing out so he asked Cameron to draw him a batman that he could cut out. Parkar cut the top of his pumpkin off but didn't want to take "the weeds" out of it - so he was satisfied with just drawing a nice picture. I (like always) made the traditional Jack-o-Lantern, and Cameron (the creative) made a pirate!!

Teylor decided he wanted to be a boxer this year and Parkar was a Pirate!! We were in Denver this year for Halloween as Parkar had a doctor's appointment. The boys dressed up on Thursday before Halloween and we went to a Fall Carnival at Teylor's school and then went to all my families houses since we were going to be gone!

In Denver with the cousins!
On our way to Denver on Saturday the 30th we stopped by a pumpkin patch for the afternoon in Colorado. We all had a fun time and were able to do a lot of fun things. We went on a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, the boys rode bikes, we went through a HUGE corn maze, a hay maze, a wood maze, we feed animals, rode on a train, launched gourds and mini pumpkins, watched 3 pumpkins get launched through a canon, and had a blast!!

The day after Halloween Parkar had an appointment with his ENT doctor. He decided to go ahead and take Parkar's tonsils out, check on his ears to make sure they are still in working order, and do a revision on his adenoids if they grew back. So on Tuesday Parkar had his surgery - they took his tonsils out, his adenoids were still gone, and one his ear tubes was partially obstructed so he ended up taken them out and inserting his 5th set of tubes - so hopefully that was is final surgery! His surgery was at 10:30 and he slept until almost 5 that afternoon - I couldn't believe he slept that long and didn't wake up screaming!! All of his other surgeries he was so upset after but this one they must have really put him out cause he slept and woke up happy! He did pretty good - the doctor wanted us to stay in the hospital for 24hours because of his long history and to make sure he would drink so we stayed in the Children's Hospital until Wednesday evening. He ate a ton of Popsicles and ice cream for about a week and has been doing great ever since!!

The day after-Much happier!
Teylor had fun playing with his cousins!

Sept. to Now!

Well we've been going non stop since we got home from our trip. Teylor started kindergarten on September 1st!! He was nervous to start but once we went to the open house and he knew a few kids in his class he felt a lot better. He loves school and he loves to ride his bike to school.
He taught himself to ride his bike with out training wheels on September 11! He was so excited - we had been trying to get him to try it all summer but he never wanted to try. We walk with a friend and her little girl is also in kindergarten and she could ride her bike so I think he wanted to be able to ride his bike to school also. It took him a couple tries in the back yard and he's been going non stop since!! (I developed the pictures before I saved them-so no pics)
Teylor has also been working really hard on his karate. He was able to learn all 5 of the "cherry blossom" techniques and advance to a yellow belt on September 16th - which he was SOOOO excited about! He has been asking since got his white when he would be able to earn his yellow belt! He was beaming from ear to ear when he FINALLY received it!
Walking up to get it! Receiving his certificate!

Waiting for his Sensi(sp?) to give him his belt!

The newest Yellow Belt!!

This is all about Teylor this month it seems like - Teylor also started fall soccer the week we got home from Disneyland. He had a lot of fun again this year and we really enjoyed watching him play. He can't wait until spring to start it all over again!!

Scoring a goal!!
Parkar and I have enjoyed spending time together just the two of us while Teylor is at school!! We read several books over and over and over again - but I love every minute of it! He really likes walking (or riding in the stroller) most days to get Teylor and is always so excited to see him! He is loving his mama time that's for sure! We take him back to Denver on Nov 1st to see his doctor and most likely the doctor said he will be having his tonsils and adenoid revision(AGAIN hopefully 3rd times a charm!!) surgery on November 2nd. If he decides to go ahead with the surgery he said we will have to stay in the hospital for 24hours observation afterwards because of his history and he doesn't do very well with surgery! So we will see how that goes in a couple weeks!
Cameron celebrated his 31st birthday last Saturday October 9th!! He had a wonderful day! We went to Spearfish Canyon to see the change in leaves! It was kinda a drizzly day off and on but it was so pretty and we had a blast being "explorers" looking and collecting all kinds and colors of leaves, throwing rocks in the river, and hiking down to see a beautiful waterfall!! It was a perfect day spending time as a family! Cam said it ranks up with one of his best birthdays ever!

All the leaves we gatherd. Cameron is drying them and then he is going to make something with them but he won't tell me what exactly it is!
That sums up our month of September and part of October which is always busy filled with soccer, karate, and life!!

Disneyland/Sea World!!!

This is a little late as usual but better late than never!! The middle of August we went to Disneyland for a week and went down to Sea World for a day. We had a fantastic time and a ton of fun!! We flew out of Denver early the morning of August 14th. Teylor was pretty nervous to fly (he doesn't remember the last time he flew) and I can't lie I always get a little nervous myself! We were about half way there and Teylor says "mom I'm not scared anymore" and I asked him why not and he says "Well you know like Jesus and God they're big enough to hold this plane up from crashing down to the ground - and I know they wouldn't let that happen to us - they would hold onto to this plane and help us land on the ground!" So after that thought he was fine the rest of the way and no worries on the way home! We took a little over 1300 pictures so its going to be hard which ones to pick but there still will be a lot on here!!
Teylor feeling much better about flying after his thought!

We finally arrived at our hotel around 10:45 AM - and we had to wait until almost 3 before we could go to our room. So we let the boys play around in the lobby for a little bit and Goofy came through to say hello to the guests!
This was our hotel room! The maids would make our beds every morning and we always went back in the afternoon to let the boys take a nap and when we would come back at night they had the beds turned down with Disney chocolates on both the beds! If you notice on the head board it is leather with the Disney castle and fireworks above them - well the second night we were there the maids turned the lights on to the head board which we were unaware that they even existed! It was pretty neat and the switch also played a little Disney tune when you turned the lights on - the boys really liked that!
This is with the lights on....

Disneyland - various pictures throughout the week!
This was Teylors favorite ride - "Autopia"

It's a Small World

We got autographs and more autographs! They had autograph books and filled all but one page with autographs!
On morning we were able to go to Mickey's Toon Town an hour before it was open to the public and they did a little ceremony declaring everyone there "Honorary Citizens" and we all received a button. Then we were able to go to all of the characters houses and get pictures and autographs from them!

Celebrate a Street Party Parade

We were waiting in line to ride the Mark Twain Riverboat and the captain asked us if we would like to ride with her - so we were able to ride on the very top inside the cabin. The boys were able to ring the bell several times and "steer" the boat!

Fireworks at Disneyland

The last morning we were there we went to Goofy's Kithchen and ate breakfast - the kids were able to dance, play, and sing songs with Goofy and other characters. Several different characters came around to the tables and signed books and got pictures taken while everyone ate.

California Adventure Park
Pixar Play Parade - this was a really neat parade- we all loved it!
We watched High School Musical on the plaza

Us at the Tough to Be a Bug 4-D show

We played carnival games on the boardwalk at Paradise Pier and this is what they won! Thank goodness the lady at the airport didn't charge us to put them on the plane!
At California Adventure they have a new water show called "World of Color" - it has all sorts of colors, pictures and music playing from all different Disney movies! It was absolutely amazing we loved it so much we had to see it twice!

Sea World - we took a bus down to San Diego one day to spend the day at Sea World.
Passing by the San Diego Temple!
Us at the Shamu show

Dolphin show

California Sunset by the beach
We had a great time and loved California!
