Teylor seen a tourist ad on the T.V. that was advertising all sites and things to do in Wyoming - One of the things was Devils Tower. He thought that was the neatest thing a "big huge mountain" coming out of the ground. So we decided we would take them over to Devils Tower for the day. We walked around the tower and Teylor and Cameron climbed up and down big rocks, raced down the sidewalk and tried to scare mom and Parkar by jumping out at us! We all had a great time together. After we walked around the tower we went to the prairie dog town and sat and watched them attack each other and make noise for a while. Parkar thought they were really neat and giggled watching them jump out of the holes and run after each other. After that we went to one of the little restaurants and had lunch and then drove home. We all had a great time and had a lot of fun!

The next week Teylor started "Little Sluggers T-Ball" and he has been having a blast with that! He has two more weeks left - the last day is July 30th. They play every Tuesday and Thursday for an hour in the mornings and it goes for two months. The first month they teach them the basics of catching, running the bases, and batting. Then the this last month they have been having little "scrimmages" against each other. He has had a lot of fun and really enjoys hitting the ball and running around the bases. It is so funny to watch 4-5 year olds play t-ball it is quite interesting to say the least!!!

First time up to bat!!

Where is the ball going????

The following week we went on a family vacation to Salina, Kansas to Cameron's dad's house. We left on Friday and drove to Denver to one of Cameron's brothers house. One of his sisters and a brother came that night also from Utah along with Preston from here and we went to Casa Bonita - a really fun and neat restaurant for the kids. They have cliff jumpers, a cave, and a mariachi band that goes around to tables and will sing a song you request! The next day we all drove to Kansas. All but one of Cameron's 10 siblings made it out there. We had a little family reunion for a week. It was very relaxing and we had a lot of fun. Cameron and his 6 brothers and their dad played basketball a lot and Indian softball. Some of my sister-in-laws and I took our kids to a splash park a couple times while the others were playing basketball. Each night we had a big dinner outside that Cameron's dad would prepare and we would eat and a lot of us would play Ladder ball in the backyard. We all went to the Zoo one day which was VERY HOT but a lot of fun! They had a museum there also that was really neat. One day we went to a park and did the splash park, played volleyball, ladder ball and hung out. It is VERY HOT in Kansas with VERY HIGH humidity. Some days we would walk outside and immediately start sweating. I'm very thankful to live where there is DRY air!!! The last two years Cameron and his brothers grow their mustaches for "Moustache May" to be silly. So they had to take there moustache pictures in some funny suits!! They all are a lot of fun and make our time together very interesting and fun!!!

We drove back to Denver the following Saturday along with 5 of Cameron's brothers and 1 sister. We just hung out playing card games that night and had pizza. On Sunday 3 of his brothers and his sister left to go back to Utah. We had to stay in Denver because Parkar had a Dr.'s appointment at Denver Childrens Hospital for his ears - (that story will be next!) So on Sunday we were all trying to figure out something to do and we ended up deciding to go to the Denver Aquarium. It was such a neat place and so many neat animals. Cameron's 2 brother's, their kids, Teylor, Cameron, and Parkar all got to fed a stingray. We got to see sharks, a five foot fish, sea turtles, starfish, jelly fish, a ton of tropical fish, a water tiger, an otter, ducks that swam to the bottom of the their little pond and popped back out of the water, a flood of water come down a hill, and divers in the water with the sharks! Teylor and Parkar loved it. We all had so much fun and defiently will go back there in the future!!

That night we (the adults) were going to play cards and we had all had a very long week and thought we would be traveling home after the doctor's appointment the next day so we wanted to get the boys to bed early since we knew we were going to have another very long day!! We gave the boys a bath and put them to bed- Parkar in his travel crib and Teylor on his superman couch. Teylor kept coming out to where we were and didn't want to go to bed -Finally I got stern with him and told him to get to bed. About 2o minutes or so passed so I thought I would go check on him to see if had fallen asleep. I peeked in the room and Teylor was not on his couch, he wasn't on our bed, nor could I see him in the room. I was getting a little nervous and turned on the light and this is what I saw....
They are to sweet

So as many of you know Parkar has been on antiobiotics since December 27, 2008 and has had 3 surgeries and he continues to get thick brown pussy drainage out of his right ear within a week after we stop an antiobiotic. The Dr.'s here had done everything they could think of and thought it was best to take him to a specialist in Denver. So on Monday the next day we had an appoitnment to see an ENT specialist. We went there and told our story to the nurse and the Dr.. Dr. Allen was such a neat doctor - he spent an hour with us and it was the first time EVER that Parkar did not cry when they looked in his ears. He told Parkar that he would look in big brother's ears first and while he was doing that he would make a bird chirping noise that the boys both were fascinated with. He ended up taking the last tube out of Teylor's ear that was just hanging in his ear canal out and told him to put it under his pillow for the "Tube Fairy" and Teylor thought that was really cool! So onto Parkar - he looked in his left ear which was fine (like always) and then looked in his right and couldn't see anything because of all of infection. He first took swabs to culture to see what bacteria was growing and then put steriod drops and saline in his ear and then he sucked a lot of pussy stuff out of it. He then told us what he wanted to do. He wanted to do of CT scan of Parkars bony mastoid bones and sinuses and then do a whole bunch of blood work and the cultures. He would get all the results back and then he would start a new plan on how to tackel this. He tried calling to the radiology department to see if they could get us for the CT that day - they had to make sure our insurance would aprove it and do some squeezing so we went and got lunch and hung out around the hospital. They called us back and said they were going to have to do it the next day (Tuesday)- I was thinking are you kidding we have already been gone 11 days not another day away from home - but I knew it was more than worth it so decided we would take the boys to the Children's Museum in Denver. On our way there a nurse from the radiology department calls and tells us what time our appointment was and begins to tell me that he can't have anything to eat or drink after a certain time and they were going to need him there early to start an IV and I said "mam I think you have the wrong person we were in the room when Dr. Allen called and he said he didn't want the CT with contrast so why would he need an IV and have to be put under anesthia????" I was getting worried because Parkar does not do well with being put out and then having to drive 5 hours home on top of that after would be a NIGHTMARE. She explained that the radiologist makes the final call with how they want the procedure done so I said alright we will be there - keeping in mind our little piggy who HAS TO EAT WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF WAKING UP I told Cameron we were going to have a lovely day tommorrow!!! So the next day came - we all would take turns eating in the bedroom so Parkar wouldn't see any food. He actually did wonderful taking into consideration that the CT scan wasn't until noon! We got there and we were talking to the nurse going over everything and we had to tell her all his history which he has a history of larygelmalcia (SP????) where a flap in his throat closes off when they would take the breathing tube out. So I asked her again why he needed to be put out and if there was a chance we could try it with him just laying on the bed. They said he had to lay extremely still one little movement would screw up the whole scan. But she checked with a couple people and said the decison was up to us - that if it didn't work they would end up having to put him out and expose him to radiation a second time. Parkar was extremely drowsy and sleeping that day - Cameron and I talked about it and decided to try it with out putting him out. Since I am pregnant I couldn't go back there so Cameron took him. They were back within 5 minutes and Parkar wasn't crying so I thought to myself great we have to put him out but the nurse okay your all done - he did wonderful!! Yeah we didn't have to put him out!! After that Dr. Allen had told us on Monday after the scan go back to his office and they would call him down in surgery to go over all the results with us. We went up there and he went over the scan with us. He said there were no abnormalities (which is wonderful) and showed us both left and right side of the his head and the differncies. The left was completely open and the right was completly closed. He said that Parkar was completely deaf in the right ear (TEMPORARLY HE ASSURED US) - he said was packed full with infection. The cultures came back and he had 3 bacterias growing in his ear Strep (which was in there in Febraury), another one i can't say or spell but it is the common bacteria usually always found in ear infections, and another one that starts with a M. He said he really didn't know why the last would be in his ear he said that type of bacteria is usually found in other parts of the body. He said the blood work most of it was okay like all the immune labs so he doesn't have an autoimmune disease, but I think it was his sed rate or C-reactive protein (can't remember which one) was pretty high which shows infection and then his white blood cells were low which could be why he can't fight off the infection. He still didn't have back some more in debth ones like his T-cell, B-cell labs that would explain a little more why the white blood cells were low. He said that when those came back he wanted to talk to an infectious disease doctor to see what they thought. So the time being he said he was going to put us on Augmentin AGAIN for 21 days and get his ear sucked out once a week and if the infection came back he would be put in the hospital for 2-3 days on IV antiobiotics and then have a picc line placed(a large IV that goes in his arm all the way up into the chest area) and be on antiobiotics at home for 2-3 weeks. If doesn't do the trick a VERY LAST resort they could drill behind his ear to make room for a drain thing. Cameron and I would have the choice on that one and we don't even talk about it yet cause we pray we will never get to that point!! So we got back to Gillette finally late that night after being gone for 12 days!! We started Parkar on the antiobiotic on Friday and on Monday morning we were in the doctors office here becuase Parkar had an allergic reaction to the medicine! He had been on that and amoxicillin pretty much last four months. So now he has a penicillin allergy which takes away 3 of the antiobiotics that he has been on that he can no longer have. I called Denver and they along with Dr. Peterson here decided to put him on Omnicef. We started that the next day and his rash was still all over his body and would flare up off and on. So on Wednesday I called the doctors office back again and told them that the rash had pretty much disappeared off his chest but was all down his legs, feet, and hands. It would get bright red and fire hot to touch. So they put him on a steriod for 5 days and we had to stop the omnicef for 72 hours and then restart it. SOOOOOO we finally have 2 days left and then he stops taking it this Wednesday July 22!!!!! We are just hoping and praying that it doesn't come back. Only time will tell..........
These pictures are at the Children's Museum in Denver that
On July 6th Teylor started a two week gymnastics camp thing. Several girls from our church do it (and it's free!!) and thought Teylor would enjoy it - and YES they have boys also!! I caught a lot of heck from my brother about it. They got to jump on a big jumping thing, run and do the vault, the balance beam, and the bars. Teylor had a lot of fun and does summersaults all over now. They would do it for an hour Monday -Thursday in the mornings so we kept busy with that and T-ball! By time 1:00 came we were all ready for naps!!

I'M ALMOST DONE I PROMISE!!!
This last Friday my mom, the boys, and I went over to Spearfish, SD to "Festival in the Park." It's a huge festival with food, music, and booths of anything and everything you can think of that is all home-made stuff. We go over every year. It didn't open until 4 so we went over had lunch and then took the boys to the ROO-Ranch in Deadwood. They have kangaroos, Wallabees (sp?), Z-donks, and Lemurs. We all had fun especially watching the boys stand in front of the glass at the Lemurs - they would swing and pounce the glass where they were standing and scare them every time and then swing jump all around their room - they were really neat! The boys and I got to pet a real kangaroo which Parkar thought was so funny. After the ranch we went back to Spearfish to the festival and walked around. We had to take a break and walk in the river right by the festival. Teylor had a lot of fun jumping, splashing, and playing with his water ballon in the water! We drove home that night.
